Navigation Basics Theory course includes in-class theory content giving participants essential underpinning skills and knowledge to plan long-distance offshore voyages using paper chart plotting techniques to convert to electronic aids to navigation. Understanding: IALA Buoyage System, Chart Features, Latitude & Longitude, Compass True & Magnetic, Compass Bearings & Conversions, Distance Speed & Time, Tide Calculations, Passage Planning.
